The Tuner
Are you in tune?
This may seem like a strange title but there is a message.
So I am taking guitar lessons. I've always wanted to play an instrument. I tried keyboard at school but didn't stick with it for too long, how I wish I did.
Anyway, yesterday my instructor was teaching me about guitar tuning. I won't go into the whole method of guitar tuning. But, I believe I have a message from what I have learned and well let me get to it.
There are times in our lives we need tuning.
Our lives get so busy, we forget to take time to recharge, just like a phone needs charging, we also need a good charge and not just from time to time.
One thing I didn't realise, is that with a guitar you have to constantly re tune it, now to me that sounded like a lot of hard work.
But that's the thing, if we want to have a relationship with God that is on fire for him and pleasing to him then we must take time to sit at his feet and get in tune with God. Sometimes that takes a lot of time and a lot of retuning, we have to get our bibles out daily, seek him daily, pray daily and sometimes you may not even be seeing the results straight away. But soon enough you will be back to strength, alignment and so many other things.
For me to become a good guitarist, I need to make personal commitment to having practice time, to be alone and keep retuning my guitar and everything I have learned. I also need to know I am not going to be pro overnight. See many people are looking for perfection straight away, or in your walk as a Christian your looking for God to give you what you want straight away. However, it doesn't work like that.
So instead, let's take the pressure of and keep growing, keep learning. Stay focused. Spend time with God. It's time to get in tune with God.
I believe God has something amazing for us all. Jeremiah 29:11. God has a plan for you and I. He will also direct our paths if we will trust him. Proverbs 3.5.6
Jesus loves you
Today choose to trust The Lord and give someone grace, just as God has given grace to you. Let God direct your paths.
