The Scammer

The topic of today is The Scammer

What is a scam?
A dishonest scheme, or fraud according to the dictionary definition.

I was reading a story by The Sun, about a man who thought he had snapped up a £140K bungalow for 7K in an auction. Unfortunately, he soon found out that this was far from the truth. The man was deceived and instead recieved a 1ft wide strip of grass worth just £40.

That's right a strip of glass just worth £40!
(you can read the story here https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9310231/florida-auction-house-grass-strip/

I know I would have been angry, disappointed and probably on the verge of cursing everyone out, if I was in this position I don't know what I would have done.

But there is a message in this that can change your life.

Many of us are scammed in life. We invested in a relationship, a marriage, education and it didn't work out.

You didn't get what you signed up for. In the beginning it looked ideal, you saw it ending up just like in the movies.
But you were deceived.

This is also how it works for many of us Christians. The devil comes along and scams us, giving us everything we could imagine, he dresses it up nicely, we are so entertained and so caught up in the emotion we forget to check out the whole package, we make excuses or reasoning, we fall in love without thinking or asking the correct questions and seeing how that person walks out all that talk.

We need to be diligent, because most of the time, people only let us see the good side, they show us the representative but not the full deal.

Just like this man got scammed, sometimes we get short changed.
And its time to wake up and stop being scammed.

Before you jump in and buy, make sure you read the small print.

And once you have read that small print and your happy to go ahead with that choice, remember you made that choice and there's no refund, so make it work.

Thankfully, there is also grace.
There is grace that covers our mistakes, so no matter what wrong turns you have made, maybe you have just come out of a relationship and need the grace of God because you feel short changed, you feel you have been scammed. Well guess what?
You seve a God that redeems and restores that will give you back everything you lost and give you greater.

Matthew 13
22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown

Keep the word in your heart. Every message you hear, take notes so that you can go back and re read it, otherwise Satan will come and take that word, as soon as you come out of that church service he will come and use someone to cut you up on the road, make you angry at church, or at home and then you act up because that word hasn't been sown in you.

That's why many times we forget what the Pastor preached (been there too) someone asks us what was the message and we just can't remember, it's because the devil has taken the word, and that word could have changed your life but it wasn't sown I'm the right place.

It's time to sow in the right place. There is no time for scams. Choose to be a reciever of every good thing God has for you, no counterfeit, just the perfect will of God.

Jesus loves you
Be blessed
